It's reasonable to assume DHCP and that DNS will be available, but _not_ that the DHCP server will populate the hostname supplied by the client into DNS. Some will, but others will not - either because they simply can't be bothered to set it up, or because they regard it as a security risk.Seems to me there are two separate problems to solve. One is to get the credentials to get on the WLAN. The other is to find the device once it is on the WLAN. Seems to me that if you assume DHCP you can safely assume DNS as well. Even the simple Pico W example programs seem to get registered there with the name "PicoW"
