What software can do though is enable hardware features that were always there but never utilised or tested....Board revision numbers indicate *hardware* changes. Software can't change that.And what is it for then, if you can't programmatically roll back raspberry to 1.4 "I need this old version"?
Personally, I find it odd that any applications program could detect, let alone would be affected by, a board revision. Something fishy is going on.
