Troubleshooting • Too many reboots broke X?

Hi.
I'm been working with creating custom systemd services, aka a lot of reboots.
I was dealing with a specific issue, where one of my services would hold the boot process. I could tell because X wasn't starting. The screen I was using (http://www.lcdwiki.com/MHS-3.2inch_Display)
would show signal, but nothing except a black display. Not even a terminal cursor.
So, I disabled my custom systemd services, and rebooted.
That did not fix the problem, which means it probably didn't cause it, either. (Because my systemd services had nothing to do with the display)
So, I decided to just run the display driver installation file, again.
There's a 25% chance that's what broke it, because it updated the Xorg package.
The issue with that is the newer versions of the Raspberry Pi OS don't support the MHS screen driver.

Does anyone have any ideas about what went wrong here, or about how I could fix it?

The OS version I'm running is Raspbian Bullseye, for raspberry pi 0W, listed in more detail on the LCD Wiki page, (link above) under the preconfigured OSes section.
