Nothing wrong with imaging, it's just you have set it to boot to "CLI" instead of "Desktop". Either in Control Centre or Raspi-Config

To change again, open Control Centre, switch to System tab and the rest should be explicit

Either that or the last image you installed was the lite (i.e. without Desktop) one.
I thought everytime I imaged it I used OS Lite 64 bit each time, but I was so frantic I may have made a mistake. I cannot get the rpcc command to work. If I used sudo raspi-config and set to boot to desktop I am asked to do 'sudo apt-get lightdm'. I go through this, yet it does not work. When reviewing the OS versions I now see the OS Lite does not have the desktop emvironment. Can I reimage with the full OS and it will boot to desktop?
