For me and my issue I'd say yes. I'll just dig deeper into Flask at a later date.I have an old ESP8266 webserver project that used web-socket. So I created a simple python app on the Pi using web-socket and this worked both locally on the Pi an remotely from my PC.
As for the use of virtual environment, the Pi OS version I have will not allow some Python packages installed outside of a virtual environment.
Does that mean we can stop worrying about debugging Flask from Thonny?
