I've (finally) managed to mount the latest backup from my RPi5 (w/ the freshly installed OS). I think there are some "odd things going on" with it - I'll explain in more detail later if you're interested in an "autopsy". :)That should work - thanks! If I learn anything from the loop mount, I'll let you know.Oh - on another subject: do you happen to know if there's a program that does what Etcher does (writes images), and can run from the command line?
Assuming you mean from the command line of a Raspberry Pi, I use write-image. It's just a simple script that runs dd.
For now: I've got the two partitions of the latest backup created by image-backup (one of them that failed when I restored it earlier), and I am able to read and copy them. To minimize the time & effort, do you have any suggestions for a "shortcut" that allows me to "copy" (via dd or ???) these partitions to the NVME drive so that it's bootable? (Hope that's clear... it's getting late :)
