I have the same issue with Imager 1.9.6 on Windows 11 (RPi 4 64bit Raspbian Image)
- I set "passwort" option for SSH
- After flashing to SD card and SSH I constantly get access denied with the request for a key.
I also tried the key option with the pregenerated key, but was also not able to connect.
Then I downgraded to 1.9.5 imager and got the same problem. Maybe the issue is more related to the raspbian image than the installer?!
If you are not getting the support you need from the volunteer helpers in these forums you could consider approaching the Raspberry Pi developers responsible for the Imager utility by raising a 'ticket' on their Issue Tracker at https://github.com/raspberrypi/rpi-imager/issues
