Should work just fine. But the Pi firmware will see a non-PD supply and assume a 5V @ 3A supply. There are configuration options to override that. There's been plenty of discussion on the forum about that.The issue is whether we can wire the 5V V+ directly to the VBUS on the USB-C output connector that will power the Pi — and the 5V V- to the USB-C GND — but without connecting anything to the CC1/2, D+/- or SBU1/2. Will the Pi 5 still power up and function as normal without any communication to our power supply board or will there be issues?
It should be the same configuration as powering from an non-PD USB supply using a USB-A to USB-C cable.
