Looks like he has a Snekboard with an Atmel ARM MCU.

Many thanks for pointing that out, reminding me it's not just AVR being targetted.

The ARM ports are the ones I should be looking at when it comes to porting to an RP2.

Above all it is just an adventure.

Though, for the current and immediate goal, it is a little more purposeful than that.

If I can get Snek building for an RP2 using the Pico SDK that saves others having to figure out how to do that themselves, provides them with a foundation to build upon should they wish to take Snek in their own direction.
