OK, thanks.
I am just now reading the resistor values as the daylight dwindles to see what resistance will be the proper one to switch on the lights.
And to select a properly sized capacitor.
Question
When the capacitor has charged up and the pin is set to output at zero to reset the measurement, can the RPi be damaged by excessive discharge current?
I.e. is there some current limit built in or do I have to add a series resistor between capacitor and RPi pin?
