For reference ZADIG will install libusb so that shouldn't be an issue
Both your version and mine will build the examples and sdk test files OK. The issue seems to be with my program which is large.
I think picotool is running out of some resource when creating the disassembly listing. If I leave it for a few minutes it does eventually finish but whereas elf2ulf took seconds picotool take minutes
