I honestly think it's the fastest and most modular backup script available (at least that I can find)
I do my backups over the network, and a fresh basic headless rpi backs up in about 3 minutes. But that is on a slow network to a mechanical drive. The limit is the network and storage speed.
Not limited to rpiOS.
Also works on devices that does not have a boot partition.
