The controller is indoors, inside the garage. The only environmental issue potential is heat, as the garage does get a bit warm. I've seen the Pi report the CPU/GPU temp being as high as 68C but at this particular moment, it is 56C. I have noticed that rebooting the Pi makes no difference to the display. My thought was to just plug the device into a "smart plug" and just set up a routine power cycle during a time when I know that no sprinkler will be operating. I might also try replacing the display. I purchased three of the displays, so maybe one just has a problem. I haven't had an opportunity yet to change out the display or put in a smart plug. Just trying to figure out if there is some other known issue that may be at play.
