Automation, sensing and robotics • Reliable Tilt Switch

Hello,

Working on a raspi project with a tilt switch.

Need a simple on/off switch for when the project is tilted past about 45 degrees. (Only in one direction)

Will power the NC or NO switch off of the 5v rail of the pi, so looking for a small pcb mounted, low voltage, one direction switch.

I have been using the following switch for a bit now, but unfortunately have had some reliability issues, with it missing tilts from time to time:

Has anyone come across a similar switch that has high reliability. The one I am currently using is mechanical in nature, but thinking maybe another type of non-mechanical switch may be more reliable?

Thanks in advance for the help!
