Troubleshooting • Help needed. Pi4 in Argon case not working

I have a number of Pi 4's in Argon cases with SSD. All work fine except one and I'm totally confused.

I did some changes to it a while back but I don't remember what. I think I tried to install Moode music software on it. Not having a clue how Moode worked I gave up. Today I decided to go back to it and re-install Pi OS on it.

I removed the SSD part of the case and tried to boot standard Pi OS desktop from a microSD. Pi OS desktop was nearly written to the MicroSD card.

It appeared to be booting but nothing displayed on screen. So I scanned the network and it showed up. Pinging the address got a reply. But still nothing on the screen.

Not having a clue what to do, I used Pi Imager to put Pi OS desktop on the SSD, removed the MicroSD and added the SSD back.

Again it appeared to be booting but again nothing appeared on screen. But this time a network scan did not show the device.

I thought booting from the MicroSD would effectively allow me to reset the Pi.

As the other Pi's are displaying screen output I know everything else is working okay.

So, how do I sort this Pi out? I'm totally baffled. Is there another way to reset the Pi?
