Ah that makes it closer, although I don’t think I'm measuring even 102°.The horizontal FOV of the wideFOV V3 camera is specified in the Camera documentation as 102°.[…]I guess you're maybe measuring the HFOV?
It wouldn't let me set it above 4096, so I tried 4096x 2592 to match the aspect ratio of the full sensor. How do I ensure I'm using an "uncropped camera mode?" Because it was definitely cropping when I used the initial sample code’s size of 640x480.Also your choice of sizes to measure may be an issue, as the V3 sensor has 4608 x 2592 pixels so best to match that in the capture size definitions.
Edit. To note that the format ratios are the same so maybe not an issue, as long as one of the uncropped camera modes is being used.
Good to keep in mind, but would it change 10° or more? I suppose I could force the focus out manually. And finally, the full FOV is usually defined when the camera lens is focussed at a distance. When used in close-up there is a reduction in the angular FOV, so try measuring perpendicular to features on a distant wall for instance. Be interesting to see what you get after that.
