Ok I tested with a powered USB 2.0 hub and not the USB device is showing up in LSUSB:
admin@NSO-PI:~ $ lsusb

However dmesg is still ALSO throwing an error (but only once now instead of repeating) and the device is inaccessible:

Any ideas on what’s going on or how I can more troubleshooting?
We have ultimately, works fine on Mac and Windows (shows up as external UPS), doesn’t work on Raspian specifically pi 4B. I also verified that this pi is affected by the circuit board e-mark issue. Can only get power when plugged in with non-emark cable….. could this somehow be playing into this since the UPS shows up as an external battery? Does anyone know if usb a to usb b cables are emarked? I couldn’t tell….
