Beginners • Autostart a programe

Hello,

I have been pulling my hair out trying to get my Pi4 to autostart a programme on boot up.

Programme is

Have created a folder called autostart in .config folder.
Have created a file with the following text inside

[Desktop Entry]
Type=Application
Name=pikaraoke
Exec=/home/pi/pikaraoke/pikaraoke.sh


Nothing happens when i reboot, in fact nothing happens when i try to launch this file manually either, so would presume something wrong elsewhere but no idea what as the pikaraoke.sh is inside the folder and launches when i try it from there.


If anyone has any ideas please do let me know.
